Seth Klarman is one of the smartest value investors in the world. He is the President of The Baupost Group, a Boston hedge fund with AUM in excess of $22 Billion. In 1991 he wrote the book Margin of Safety, Risk Averse Investing Strategies for the Thoughtful Investor. If you haven´t read it, I strongly suggest you do. Unfortunately it is out of print and the book sells for more than $1,000. A pdf version of the book can be found here.
Seth Klarman is not a big fan of interviews so this long interview with Charlie Rose is extremely valuable. Enjoy!
Warren Buffett used to to refer to Munger in his early letters to partners in the 60´s as his “West Coast philosopher” friend. Charlie Munger is a broad thinker, has a multidisciplinary approach to problem solving and life and certainly is one of a kind.
In this video, Charlie Munger has fantastic two-hour long conversation with CNBC news anchor Becky Quick at the University of Michigan, his alma mater, in 2010. Enjoy!
The first post of this blog could only be about one man: Warren Buffett.
He is Benjamin Graham´s star student and considered the best value investor in the short history of this investment science, which some say is merely an investment philosophy.
The title of this documentary is by no means an exaggeration. Warren Buffett is, by far, the greatest money maker ever and if you watch carefully you will understand why. Enjoy!
I will soon be posting my first entry. Stay tuned!
